Thinking about a homebirth? It’s a wonderful option if you’re hoping for a low-intervention birth in the comfort and coziness of your own home. You’ll have the freedom to move around, the option to labor or give birth in water, and the peace of mind knowing you’re cared for by a team that’s focused on your safety and honoring your choices every step of the way.
Midwifery care is all about supporting you holistically—providing guidance, education, and encouragement so you feel empowered to make the decisions that are best for you and your baby. It’s your journey, and we’re here to walk it with you!
All prenatal visits are done in the comfort of your own home and are scheduled for 60 minutes. This gives you time to ask questions, gain preparation and education for your birth and receive individualized care. Each prenatal consists of risk assessment that includes monitoring both you and your baby to ensure that you remain a candidate for out-of-hospital birth. Prenatal care begins at 12 weeks and an appointment is scheduled every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and weekly until delivery.
Embrace Birth Co. is able to perform all standard obstetrical screening and labs, order ultrasounds and refer to collaborating physicians if indicated throughout your pregnancy.
Prenatal Care
When labor begins, your midwife and assistant will arrive to your house and monitor labor progress and the health of you and your baby. Risk assessment continues throughout your labor to ensure that you remain a candidate for homebirth.
Embrace Birth Co. will bring emergency equipment, medications and resuscitation equipment. All birth team members are certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol and CPR. We offer continuous care and support even in the event of a hospital transport.
You will be able to move freely, eat and drink and have a team that gives you patience and encouragement as your labor progresses. You will have your wishes known and respected during your birth and will be able to make informed decisions that empower you.
Labor and Delivery
POstpartum Care
All postpartum visits are done in your own home and are done at 24-48 hours after birth, 1 week postpartum, 2 weeks postpartum, 4 weeks postpartum and six weeks postpartum. These appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes to ensure your questions are answered and you feel supported during this time.
These appointments focus on your well-being that includes healing from birth and holistic health that includes nutrition and mental health resources.
Embrace Birth Co. is able to offer well baby care until 6 weeks of age that includes monitoring your baby’s growth and feeding patterns. We are able to perform all state newborn screenings and newborn medications.
Investment
The Global Fee for Midwifery Care is $6,000.00 dollars with a non-refundable deposit of $750.00 dollars due at the time of singing to hold your place in our calendar.
Embrace birth Co. offers a variety of payment plans that are flexible and allow for you to make payments as you can throughout care. The final amount is due in full by 36 weeks of pregnancy.
The fee for midwifery services is global regardless of when you come into care or how often you need to communicate with Embrace Birth Co. This allows for us to support you fully and give you individualized care.
If you have financial difficulties, please reach out to us. Occasionally, we are able to offer scholarships to discount the cost of services.
As a private practice provider, Embrace Birth Co. is not in network with any insurance providers. This allows for our team to offer individualized care that is tailored to your needs without the restrictions that insurance companies often places on providers. Embrace Birth Co. will provide you with a superbill after services have been rendered if you would like to attempt reimbursement. Embrace Birth Co. cannot guarantee reimbursement from insurance providers.
Your investment includes the following:
All prenatal appointments, labs that are completed and screenings. Prenatal appointments begin at 12 weeks and are scheduled every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, bi-weekly until 36 weeks and weekly from 36 weeks until birth.
The attendance of your birth with a midwife and assistant from the onset of active labor until 2-4 hours postpartum.
All postpartum visits and any additional labs. Postpartum visits are scheduled at 24-48 hours following birth, 1 week postpartum, 2 weeks postpartum, 4 weeks postpartum and 6 weeks postpartum.
Birth tub rental and liner.
On-call 24/7 from 37 weeks until your birth.
Any medications and supplies that are used throughout your pregnancy and birth.
Unlimited communication via phone or email throughout your pregnancy.
Access to resource guide and lending library.
Filing of the birth certificate, social security card, hearing screening, metabolic screening and CCHD screening.
Items not included in the global fee: RhoGam if indicated, birth kit to be purchased by 34 weeks of pregnancy, additional supplies from the supply list, doctor’s visits if needed and Ultrasounds (can be billed directly to your insurance).
